DEUTZ AG and the SAME DEUTZ-FAHR Group have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand their collaboration in the market for agricultural machinery engines with capacities of less than four litres. In 2013, DEUTZ will start to supply its newly developed TCD 2.9 L4 and TCD 3.6 L4 engines – which are designed for agricultural applications – to the SAME DEUTZ-FAHR Group, which manufactures agricultural equipment. This also means that DEUTZ will eventually supply the Group with more than 14,000 engines per year as from 2014. The alliance with SAME DEUTZ-FAHR for the supply of these newly developed engines has enabled DEUTZ to successfully enter the market for agricultural machinery engines of less than four litres.
"We can already look back on a longstanding and successful collaboration with SAME DEUTZ-FAHR. This memorandum of understanding on the supply of our newly developed TCD 2.9 L4 and TCD 3.6 L4 engines represents a further step towards our future", enthused Dr Helmut Leube, chairman of the Board of Management of DEUTZ AG.
