DEUTZ takes on 33 new trainees

  • New trainees are welcomed
  • Training kicks off with an induction week

Thirty-three young trainees started their apprenticeships at DEUTZ AG in Cologne on 1 September 2010. The young men (25) and women (8) were personally welcomed by Dr. Margarete Haase, a member of the Board of  Management. "I am pleased that these young people have chosen to carry out their vocational training at DEUTZ. It is vital for our future that we train today's young talent and furnish them with the necessary skills for tomorrow. Our trainees play an important role in helping to shape the future of our company. I am particularly pleased that four female trainees have opted to pursue a career in a technical field", said Dr. Haase.

This year, 29 trainees have chosen apprenticeships in technical and engineering fields, as trainee production mechanics, industrial mechanics, cutting machine operators and materials testers. A further four school leavers are starting training courses in business administration. In all cases the apprenticeship period lasts three to three and a half years. The young people, aged 16 to 21, will be introduced to their apprenticeship programmes during an induction week by the training managers and our existing first-year trainees. DEUTZ AG in Cologne currently employs a total of 122 trainees, including those who have just joined.
