DEUTZ at Excon Bangalore

  • DEUTZ AG exhibits for the first time at one of India's biggest construction equipment fairs
  • Comprehensive engine portfolio for the local market on display
  • Strong presence in India

Excon in Bangalore is one of the biggest trade fairs for construction equipment and technology in
the region, and DEUTZ AG will be presenting its comprehensive portfolio of engines for use in the
construction equipment sector there for the first time. From 23 to 27 November 2011, Excon's
160,000m² of exhibition space will showcase the latest developments in the construction industry,
focusing on products, equipment and technologies. DEUTZ, one of the world's leading independent
manufacturers of low-emission diesel engines, is also a thoroughly reliable partner when it
comes to drive systems for the construction equipment sector and, at Excon 2011, will be placing
the robust, reliable and efficient engines which the Indian market needs centre stage.

G

enerating 58kW at a maximum torque of 273 Nm, the four-cylinder D914 L4 induction engine covers the lower power output range of the engines being exhibited. Thanks to their legendary design, air-cooled DEUTZ engines can be used anywhere in the world under the most demanding conditions and can be run on high sulphur-content fuels. Few servicing points and long maintenance intervals also ensure low operating costs and excellent reliability.

DEUTZ rounds off the lower power output range with the company's popular construction equipment
engine from the 2011 series which has proven its worth a million times over. Generating 74.9kW, the four-cylinder TCD 2011 L4 W engine achieves maximum torque of 350 Nm and, thanks to its impressive performance, is one of the most successful engines in its power category. A further
attractive feature of the compact water-cooled TCD 2011 is its first-class reliability and impressive
power to weight ratio. Possessing the smallest design volume of its class, this engine also offers the greatest installation flexibility.

For the medium power spectrum, the DEUTZ portfolio includes the TCD 2013 L6 2 V. Generating
200kW, this water-cooled six-cylinder in-line engine achieves a maximum torque of 1,050 Nm.
Thanks to its excellent fuel consumption, simple and inexpensive installation and long service intervals, this powerful and sturdy engine is highly cost-effective and promises high efficiency levels.
The power take-off options integral to the gear drive and the slim engine design reduce the installation costs of the TCD 2013 and extend the range of its potential applications.

Generating 360kW at a maximum torque of 2,080 Nm, the TCD 2015 V6 powerpack achieves the
highest power output range of the engines being exhibited. This powerpack, consisting of the engine
and cooling system with self-supporting frame, is impressively compact and is one of the most
space-saving designs on the market. The very latest, electronically controlled injection system ensures low fuel consumption and great cost-effectiveness.

By exhibiting at Excon for the first time, DEUTZ is emphasising the strategic importance of the Indian
market. In the spring of this year the company's engine portfolio had already aroused a great
deal of interest at BC India in Mumbai. DEUTZ is now represented in India by a DEUTZ subsidiary
in Pune and a strong dealership network.
